Hewett Events Calendar
After 12 months of prayer and searching, the Hewett congregation has a new pastor! Scott Combridge has accepted the call of God and his people in this community.

Scott is married and has three children. He has been in ministry now for 8 years covering many of the differing roles within ministry.

Scott was formerly an associate minister at Southern Community Church of Christ in Cheltenham Victoria fulfilling the Pastoral Care role and various other responsibilities. He is also a board member of the Churches of Christ Theological College and involved on the Ministry Endorsement Task Force for the Victoria/Tasmania Conference.

A former carpenter, his other passions are 4WDing/Camping and travelling this vast beautiful country of ours, motorcycling, music and movies.

Of his ministry, Scott says, "I have a deep passion for worship, mission and parish ministry. My understanding of church, ministry and my role as minister is empowered by my understanding of Christ’s love for this world the people of it and the church communities he has called together. My desire for the church as ‘the community of faith’ is that we continue to nurture, support and equip each other within our community; reaching out to those in the broader community who are lonely and in need thereby embodying  the Kingdom values as lived and taught by Jesus.

I also believe that as Christians we are called upon to maintain the church as sacred space where people can come, experience, get to know and worship God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit)."

Scott's induction service was held at the church on Sunday 31st January at 10 am.
